Taxes
I think Obama should renew the Bush tax cuts. If Obama tax's the rich more, they aren't going to reach out and build more industries or make it so that jobs can be made since they feel like they are getting taxed more, they want to save their money, not spend it. I feel like the Bush tax cuts were such a good thing, because it created more job opportunities. I feel as though when the Bush tax cuts expire, even more people will not have jobs since the rich won't reach out and create those job opportunities.

I agree with renewing tax cuts. Taxing the rich more than the less fortunate will not prove to be beneficial. Clearly, not everyone can afford to pay taxes without the cuts and it would not be fair to tax some people more than others, therefore i entirely agree with you in the idea of renewing these cuts.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree as well. I think that most of the people who are fortunate in their wealth in this country have worked hard at their jobs and throughout their lives and should not be penalized for that. It is also going against one of the principles of the preamble, establishing justice, because it is not treating all people equally and fairly.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The tax cuts were super dooper and if they get rid of them there will definatley be less job opportunities. And people who are struggling to make their payments will be greatly affected if they dont renew the tax cuts.

I feel like the Bush tax cuts were just underhanded way to reward the oil companies and other corporations that helped fund his campaign to get him elected.Furthermore, the tax cuts actually did very little to help those further down the economic ladder, and during Bush's presidency, the unemployment rate rose 3.9% to 6.7%. If Bush truly had wanted to do something to help the lower income portion of society, he would have invested the money in a more direct way to create jobs for them, rather than relying on the good values of the wealthy to do their part to help those in need. The tax cuts should be demolished.
